How Chicago Would Look Like if The Cubs Won The World Series

“Will this year be the year?”- No doubt Cubs fans across the city are bringing out their lucky charms, crossing their fingers, dusting off their lucky caps and performing every pregame ritual in their arsenal. Chicago is 175 years old, so will the world series be coming to our city this monumental year? Here’s a great and funny video to kick off the 2012 baseball season for you Cub faithfuls.

UPDATE: Turns out the commercial was written by a Cubs fan, Brian Siedband, and a White Sox fan, Gordy Sang. The Chicago Cubs gave full cooperation with the filming of the commercial even flashing the Cubs Win on the Wrigley Field board. The writers had thought about casting Steve Bartman for the commercial but thought against it since it would have change the tone and direction of the commercial.

It was really well done, and it was pretty awesome to see Chicago imagined during this celebration. But You know what would have really nailed it? If they had shown South Side Chicago’s reaction as well. A priceless capture of our crosstown rivalry. Get me the number to the writers of the MLB’12 commercial!
